Wipro Limited, India’s third largest software exporter, on Friday posted an 18-per cent increase in its profit after tax for the second quarter ended

Terming as "impossible" the Rs 1 lakh car that Tatas propose to roll out, particularly on safety aspects, Hyundai on Friday said it would like to bring an entry level car with a minimum price tag of $3000 like the one Renault is planning. "Considering the safety issues and norms and input costs from our point, making a Rs 1 lakh car is impossible," Hyundai Motor India managing (HMIL) director and CEO H.S. Lheem said.

Asked if HMIL was considering an entry-level match to tap the potential of low-cost car market in India and if it had the technology for it, he said the co-mpany was well equipped. "We have the technology for small car already there in 800cc engine in Korea. We can develop technology for a 650cc engine," Mr Lheem said, however, adding HMIL was not in a hurry to enter the segment.
